END OF JANUARY PROGRESS!

 I can't believe it is already the end of January.  Another month gone so fast.  I've been working mainly on 'Hard To Cross' and have gotten to the end of Chapter 12 after several revisions to Chapters 8, 9, 10 and 11.  I'm currently around 17,000 words.

My goal for the month of February is to try and write at least 2,000 words per day from Monday to Friday.  The weekend days will be to do normal things like groceries, etc.

If I am able to reach my goal it should give me around 60,000 words and maybe enough for the book to be ready to send out to my editor.  If I don't get there then it will continue into the first part of March.  I am working towards a mid-July date to publish so better get cracking.

For those who want to check out all the books I have available they can be found on this blog page.  I will have a lot of work to do once the manuscript is completed because I have just put up something for the blurb and back cover but all tht needs to be written in it's correct form.

PROGRESS REPORT!

 Hope everyone had a safe holiday season.  I got to relax a bit but am now back to work on both my new books.  First of all, I have changed the cover for my next children's book and hope you like it.  The story is going at a slower pace than I want but that's all about creativity issues.  Hope you like the new face of Rian.

As for my novel, I have been rewriting several chapters and now am back on track with the story.  I hope you all stay safe with the crazy weather all over the world.

Time to get to work.  I will be back at the end of the month with another update!

BREAKING FOR HOLIDAYS!

 It has been a long year so time for a much needed break.  I have been working on my new novel and am twenty-five percent finished in first draft.  So much is going on with COVID-19 that we are back in restrictions.

I think it is time for us all to just take a breath.  I will resume writing in 2022 and hope to complete 'Hard To Cross' sometime in July and will keep you updated starting in the middle of January.

I hope everyone stays safe as they spend time with family members over the next two weeks.

Now for my progress.  I published 'Delia's Special Gift' on November 17th for all your 6-9 year olds to enjoy. If you have Kindle Unlimited they can read it there for the next 90 days.

   I'm now working on Hard To Cross (The Coleman O'Sullivan Story) and the progress is going slower than I thought.  I am currently writing about 1,000 words per day and during the month of December that will be increased to a minimum of 2,000 words per day.

This book will take some time as it involves the main character's willingness to make changes in his life from what it has been for the last several years.  Coleman has lived in isolation on a small island isolated from the rest of the world.  If you want to know more about why or the ways he tries to make changes, you will have to wait and read the book when it comes out in 2022.

Now that this book is done, I will concentrate on 'Hard To Cross' my novel which will has a tentative release date for 2022.  I will be back at the end of November to update you on it's progress.

These last few weeks have been very productive.  I will give you the update on my children's book first.  Most of the illustrations are completed and I have a possible date for release.  I am looking at November 16, 2021 (subject to change) giving everyone a lot of time to order and have it in your hands before the Holiday Season.

Now for an update on 'Hard To Cross'.  I have had to rewrite the beginning several times to make it flow better.  I believe now more progress will happen over the next month once I finish the children's book.  I have the first ten chapters completed so will work from there.  As for a timeline on publication, I think sometime in early spring of 2022.

As the weather now has become very wet, it will force me to sit and write, and write and write.

I will come back before the release of 'Delia's Special Gift' to give you a heads up on the exact date in case it changes from the one mentioned above.

PROGRESS NOW HAPPENING!

As for my children's book the first two sections are done.  Now there is work to be done on the final few pictures to go in it for the young children to be able to see parts of what is taking place.  Below is Delia with the Ranger giving him information about what has been happening with the animals in his forest.
