I have also set up the Pre-Order for other vendors like Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Nook and others, but as it is still publishing, it may not be available on their sites for between a day or a week, depends on the vendor.

HELLO OCTOBER, 2019!

The time has come. I have finally written THE END on Willow: Family Betrayal (Windy Haven Trilogy Book 2).  Now several rounds of editing begin. The next six weeks will be intense.

Shortly, I will be setting up a Pre-Order on Amazon and for all other vendors like Kobo and Nook.  Once that is done, I will let you know so you can plan ahead.  The actual date of purchase for paperback and e-books will be November 15, 2019. As I am doing the paperback on Amazon, through KDP, they do not provide a Pre-Order option.

As I do the editing for Book 2, I will begin the writing of Book 3, which should be ready for release in early to mid 2020.   Final book cover for Book 3 will be shown here with my next post.  I have not gone back to my Children's book yet, but  I plan on doing that once Willow is published.

I will be back a couple of times this month to do updates on my editing progress ,and to give you the date when the Pre-Order for Book 2 is available.

Everyone who are now in the Fall Season, enjoy the cooler weather.  For others who are in a different season in your country, I hope it will be tolerable.

END OF AUGUST!

I am sorry that I didn't make it back over the month being very busy writing.  I am nearing the end of Book 2 for the Windy Haven Trilogy and will be sending it for first edit by mid-September.  I have made great progress by going to a remote area to work without all the distractions of telephones and internet.  In order to post this and retrieve my e-mails, I visited a library close to my location to access their wifi.

I will be staying away for several more weeks in order to finish the manuscript for book 2 and get a start on the beginning chapters for book 3. This way I can put part of Chapter One from book 3 at the end of book 2. I already have part of Chapter One of Book 2 at the end of Book 1 so check it out.

I hope you enjoyed the short story I put here at the beginning of August.  To see more of my short work you can click my link on the right of the page that says Forest City Wordwrights.  That is were myself and several others in my writing group have posted short stories and some info so check us out.

Below is the final cover for Willow: Family Betrayal (Windy Haven Trilogy Book 2).  I will let you know when it goes up for Pre-Order and the vendors where you can order it from.

I haven't decided yet on the fate of my children's books for now.  I want to concentrate just on completing the Trilogy and other work I am doing with my writing group for the rest of 2019.

If I get a chance in early September, I will post another short story to let you know you haven't been forgotten even though I am very busy.

Till then, everyone have a safe holiday weekend, for those who celebrate it.

AUGUST UPDATE, SHORT STORY!

Update time.  I have not progressed to the point hoped for, but I'm working hard on it.  For Book 2 in the Windy Haven Trilogy, I am doing well and should meet my set goals, baring no major problems during the editing phase.

As for my children's book not so good.  I do know how it should be structured and who the main characters are including the antagonist but the words are still difficult.  I have joined a group to ask for more help with this area.  It is hard to use the correct speech for the age group I am going for and want the book to be interesting for them.

I will work harder over the next month but will not be doing another update until the end of August in order to concentrate on my writing.  I may upload a short story or two for your pleasure during the month like the one you will find below so stay tuned. This one is a short prompt story I wrote at our writers group meeting that I believe you will enjoy.  It is also on our website with many other stories and authors so check us out.  Just click the link below:

                           THIS IS SO WRONG

Murphy looks out through the bars in dismay. “This is so wrong,” he says. “I was just chasing Maggie around her cage, and ‘WHAM ‘the master's son shoved me in here and closed the cage door.

“Tweet, Tweet.”

“Maggie, where are you? I can hear your voice but don’t see you anywhere.”

“Murphy, I’m up here on top of my cage and your head. Ha, Ha.”

“Listen, you. I was just playing around and now look where I am, IN YOUR CAGE, LADY.”

“Calm down Murphy. I didn’t do it Max did, and I didn’t ask him too.”

“Well find a way to open the cage door, so I can back out of here.”

Maggie flies around and around then goes back up on top.

“The latch is too heavy for my little beak to undo it. I’ll fly into the other room and see if I can get Ms. Mary to come in here.”

“Please hurry because I have a cramp in my paw.”

Maggie quickly flies into the other room and circles around Mary’s head tweeting.

“What is wrong Maggie; do you want some food or water? I put some in your cage earlier.”

Maggie doesn’t know what to do next, so she tries to get Mary to follow her back to the cage where Murphy is stuck. She starts to quickly fly back and forth to the door.

Okay, Maggie. Let’s go check your cage and see if you are out of food or water.”

As Mary steps into the living room and makes her way to the birdcage, she sees Murphy sitting inside looking pretty upset.

“Murphy, you bad boy, were you chasing Maggie again. Did she close the door on you?”

“Meow, meow.”

Mary opens the birdcage’s door and tries to wiggle Murphy back out the small door, but he doesn’t budge.

“Meowwwwwww!”

Boy, you’re really stuck in there. I don’t know how you managed to fit through that small space.”

Mary calls to her son Max to come help her get the cat out of the birdcage.

“Max do you have any idea how to get Murphy out of the birdcage?”

“Good place for him. He’s always chasing Maggie all over the living room.”

“Did you do this?” she asks.

“Maybe!”

“Well right now we have to figure a way to get him out.”

“I’ll get the Hacksaw. I think the only way we can get him out is to cut off some of the bars until he fits.”

MID JULY UPDATE!

Being the middle of July it's very hot and humid.  Great days for staying inside and writing.  Progress is slow as I have just lost a very dear writer friend so had to take a few days off to grieve.

Today I will get back to my writing schedule as my friend would not want me to stop writing because of her.  She was a devoted writer, it was the thing she enjoyed the most her entire life.  So in her honor, I will do my very best to move forward.

I am part way through Chapter 12 on Willow: Family Betrayal (Windy Haven Trilogy Book 2) where a lot of conflicts will emerge before my character can move on to try and accomplish her main goal.  By the end of the month, I hope to be much farther along and maybe even near the end of my first draft.

As for my children's book, I have been working on revising the front cover now that I have two characters where I can show a contrast between their differences and similarities.  I believe kids would enjoy this book as many of them love bugs of any kind including bees.

Updated new cover (subject to change):

I will be back at the end of the month for an update on my novel and children's book.  In the meantime, check out my other books available for sale from this site. Just click on the cover to access where to purchase them.
